Let's preserve the virtues of childhood


Childhood is the most beautiful time of a person. This is a time that we are slowly losing. But we can maintain the virtues that exist in our little minds throughout our lives. If so how valuable is the world? Little children are as beautiful as flowers. Very beautiful, shinning like stars in the sky. I think it is because of their genuine feelings. Their hearts are very pure. Jealousy and anger are not close to them. 

I wonder if the current education system is sometimes an obstacle for the little mind to experience this beautiful world. But they should also pay attention to it in school education. It should be done gently. It is also very valuable if children are directed to study aesthetic subjects from a young age. Beauty is a healer of our mind. 

Also, it is important to start reading books, newspapers and magazines from a young age whenever possible. That way we will be able to know about many things. It is also clear to us from the text "Reading makes man complete". 

Along with all these things, it is a great achievement if we can keep the many virtues that exist at a young age and move forward.

                    There are three indigenous dance traditions in Sri Lanka. They are the Up - country dance tradition, the Low - country dance tradition and the Sabaragamuwa dance tradition. These dance traditions are valuable heritages for our country.                  The Up-country dance tradition popular areas are Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Harispattu etc. The main traditional Kandyan dance is Wes dance. The Wes costume is the main costume in this dance. The geta beraya is the main drum in this dance tradition. A power motivation to learn English

                        We, the first year students of the university of the visual and performing arts, had a great motivation program for learning English. It was conducted by lecturer Chathurangi Abeshika on 11.12.2024 and organized by Dr. Sumudu Embogama.                    First, the lecturer showed a video about the journey of learning English.
